Slots, Pet Show, & Stomp Out Loud

Again we slept in. Woke up and headed straight for the pool. The pool was pretty crowded but somehow we managed to find 2 lounge chairs together. Laid out for awhile & goofed off in the pool a bit. I'm pretty sure everybody there thought we were honeymooners the way were acting. Lol. What fun. While at the pool our tour guide for the Hoover Dam comedy tour called us to see if we could reschedule our tour. We were originally supposed to go the next day (Monday 8/20) but agreed to go later that week (Wednesday 8/22). They even offered to pick us up at our hotel! We were going to have to walk over to the next hotel in order to catch the bus.
After a quick shower and a change of clothes we decided to go to the Pet Show I had already bought tickets for online. The show itself wasn't until later that afternoon but I had vouchers we had to claim in order to get our seats. Lucky for us the Popovich's Comedy Pet Theater was located in the Miracle Mile adjacent to the Planet Hollywood. We turned our vouchers in and splurged on the VIP seats so we'd get a better view. I had secretly wanted to get close enough to pet something but I wasn't quite that close. We had some time to kill before we headed to the show so we went to grab a bite to eat at Cheeseburger Las Vegas. Some pretty good eats & actually at a halfway decent price too. I think this was one of our cheapest meals while we were in Vegas. Not counting Mickey D's of course.
After we ate we explored the mall a lil bit and picked out some souvenirs to get before we headed home. Somehow someway we wandered back into the casino at the PH and decided we wanted to give their $2 million slot pull at try. We got a voucher for free entry into the Daily Slot Tournment & decided to head that way. Sure enough it was right around the corner. And what fun we had! We both ended up doing really good. But I kicked Kev's butt of course (its only natural after all). I ended up with the 3rd highest score for the day and won 2 tickets to the PH's award winning show "Stomp Out Loud"! Tickets for our seats regularly ran at about $80 each! We decided to go ahead and see the show that same evening since we didn't have anything planned.
Now time for the Pet Show. And it was really really good. Good combination of pets, magic, and comedy. We both laughed our butts off. Now I wish we woulda bought the DVD afterwards. I just love pet shows! This one wasn't as good as the one we saw at Sea World last year (Pets Ahoy!) but it sure was close!
At this point we only had a few hours to kill before the "Stomp" so where did we head? Back to the casino of course! Kev tried his hand at Poker but didn't fair to well. He did pretty decent on the regular shots. Every time he'd get low, I'd make him cash out. Then I'd go play some BlackJack and win it back! Hehe. I kick some butt at some BlackJack let me tell you. I actually got ID-ed today while we were gamblin away. Haha. I'm 25...so thats funny. Kev got ID-ed when we'd go out to restaurants and he's 31.
Had to go back to the timeshare people and see if we could attend the timeshare presentation being held the next day. We had originally scheduled the presentation for Wednesday but now that our Hoover Dam tour was rescheduled, there was no way we could go to the timeshare thing that day. They said sure no problemo! And scheduled us for the very next day. I told Kev to practice saying "NO" starting right now. Lol. We're just in it for the free tickets/dinner/etc....or so I thought....
Then we went to see "Stomp". Awesome awesome show. Totally worth paying $80 a seat if you ask me. Innovative, entertaining, and amusing. I'd never imagine people could make "music" with ordinary things like trash cans, newspapers, etc. Very very creative.
After "Stomp" we headed back to the Miracle Mile to grab a bite to eat at Blondie's. Pretty good restaurant. Food was really good. We just missed the "Drink and Drown" for the day so we vowed to return the next day just to participate. After grabbing some grub we headed back to the casino yet again before retiring for the night.
