Wax Museum & Caesars Palace

Got up this morning and decided to walk to the Mickey Ds down the street. It seems so much closer but in reality it was far far away. Time we got there I was a starvin! Ate and then checked out some nearby shops before hitting Walgreens for some souvenirs. Headed back to the casino, threw on the swimsuits to go out by the pool for a bit. Then we rushed back in to shower and change ...then we were off to the timeshare presentation..
And what a presentation it turned out to be. Very very nice. Heck if I had $40,000 to spend I'd prob get one, but thats a bit pricey for my taste. And the timeshares are being built in a new building right behind the PH resort hotel. So its not even like your right on the strip or anything. LoL. Well that ole lady bout got us. Thats fer sure. We kept talking about how we were planning on having kids in the next couple years and not really planning to bring our kids to Vegas and all. Actually mentioned we were more Disney World people. Big mistake there. Turns out that company actually owned timeshares in Orlando too. [FYI: Orlando's the 2nd most popular vacation spot in the USA...with Vegas being #1] They were such a bargain though. $10k for a two bedroom suite in Orlando like 2 miles from Disney World. I think we're still kicking ourselves in the butt for not taking it. Thats cheap for a timeshare. It was only every other year. But I figure we'll rotate taking our future kid(s) on vacation - one year in Orlando, next in Myrtle. Why didn't we? Kevin kept looking at me for the go ahead but I just couldn't do it. Now I kinda wish we woulda. Lol. Oh well.
Then we headed back to the mall. Ate at Blondies and watched some sports! Drink & Drown baby. Bud Lite all the way. I got a bit of a buzz after that. But I totally got my $10 worth. :) Right after we ate we had our caricature drawn at this booth in the mall. Kev tipped the guy too much. Lol. Shopped around a bit in the Miracle Mile. Kev bought him some stuff at Quiksilver. Tryed to talk me into buying a bathing suit, but heck no. If I'm gonna pay that much for a swimsuit I'd prefer one from Victoria's Secret.
Then we dropped our stuff off at the room and grabbed a Taxi to go to the Venetian. I think the taxi guy took us the long way just to get more money. But I"m not a local so what do I know. The Venetian was absolutely gorgeous! Kevin always said he'd take me to Italy one day. :) Beautiful. One of the most beautiful hotels in all of Vegas if you ask me. Very very nice shopping too.
We explored the Venetian for awhile and then headed off to the Wax Museum. We had such a ball there! I tried to pose all silly with everybody but I didn't pull it off all that well. Kev on the otherhand was so comical. He posed with everybody! It was so funny! I especially like the ones with Marilyn & Elvis. & Jenna too. Haha.
Upon leaving the Venetian we headed back toward the PH. Stopping off at Caesar's Palace of course. To be honest Caesar's probably has the best shopping area on the strip. I just love the Forum shops. They have such a wide variety of stores. The revolving escalators are quite unique too. And the Atlantis fountain show. They have a wide variety of restaurants. Even the delicious Cheescake Factory.
We opted for the Planet Hollywood restaurant inside the Forum Shops. How weird is it that the PH resort is right down the street. You think the restaurant would be housed in the hotel that has its name but no. Very very good food. I always like PH restaurants for the atmosphere and decor. Kev bought his pilsner glass to go with the matching Margaritaville one he bought the other day. (He collects pilsners from his fav restaurants).
We headed back to the PH. On our way back caught another nice show at the Bellagio. Those fountains are spectacular. Strange choices in music sometimes though. Oh well. After a lil more gamblin and a few more free drinks we headed back to the room to crash.
